Vero Beach Computer Group welcomes Bruce Fries
Mr. Bruce Fries will speak at the General Meeting of the Vero
Beach Computer Group on March 7, 2001 in the Main Conference
Room of the Indian River County Main Library starting at 7:00 PM.
Bruce will be giving a talk on "Everything you need to know about Online Music".
Bruce Fries (pronounced "freeze") lives in Silver Springs, Maryland
and is a writer, technology consultant, and entrepreneur. He is an
Associate of the Audio Engineering Society and founder of several
high-tech companies. In 1998 Bruce recognized the potential of
MP3 when there was little information available on the subject. Bruce and his co-author, Marty Fries, have written a book, The MP3
and Internet Audio Handbook, to teach others about the benefits
of this exciting technology. The book has been called the "the bible
of MP3", and it covers downloading music and listening to internet
radio. In addition it tells how to create your own MP3 files and how
to record your own CD. Bruce will be discussing all of these topics
