Please note that starting in 2010, the large meeting room at the Main Library in Vero Beach will not be
available for our General Meeting! All SIG meetings will continue to be held at the Main Library at 1600 21st
Street, Vero Beach, in the designated meeting rooms.
Our monthly General Meeting is the first Monday of the month at 7:00pm and new for 2010, the General Meeting only will be held at Indian River County Board of Realtors office at 2182 Ponce de Leon Circle in Vero
Beach. Please see the map below. All guests are welcome!
The next General Meeting of will be Monday, August 2, 2010, 7 PM. The presentation will be by Eric Price, owner of Technology
Partners of Vero Beach and president of the VBCG. He will give a presentation on watching TV on your computer using websites such as Hulu and
Netflix. Eric will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of using your computer as a TV.
The "Help Desk" opens at 6 PM prior to the regularly schedule General Meeting. The Help Desk is available to anyone who needs some
extra help with any computer questions or issues. We will still have our usual "Random Access" question and answer session as part of our regular General
Meeting. But we will now be offering this additional assistance for anyone who would like to come in early. Feel free to bring along a laptop too, if
you have one and need help with it.
The Help Desk will be staffed by various VBCG Board members and SIG leaders, as they are available. We would also love
to have any of our other members who are willing to offer their time and knowledge, to show up too and be available to offer assistance. We are a
self-help organization and any experience or expertise you have to share is welcome and appreciated. You don't have to be an expert to help out!
If you do want to help, feel free to show up early and be available to answer questions. It is helpful for us to know who and
how many are planning to be there to help out, so if you plan to come and help answer questions, please take a
moment and email us
to let us know. Thanks!
